Cabinet of Curiosities
Cabinets of Curiosities, the precursor to modern museums, were fascinating collections of items from various fields of knowledge, including art, science, and nature. Many of these collections now reside in museums and are integral to their displays. But have you ever wondered about the stories behind these objects? Who owned them? Where did they come from? Why are they here? As a final project in "Shenkar", I've created a video installation that explores these questions. Projected onto 84 wooden squares, the video creates a captivating environment that engages the viewer. The installation includes a soundscape that features five different stories from varying perspectives, each offering a unique insight into the collection. Join me on a journey of discovery and exploration as we unravel the mysteries of these Cabinets of Curiosities.
